The West Pacific Marine Biology Network (WPMBN)

The WPMBN, launched by CNRS Biologie, fosters collaboration between research groups in France, Australia, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea to study, protect and harness the capabilities of marine organisms in the western Pacific Ocean.

The network also aims to build partnerships with other countries across the region. Part of this effort includes regular scientific meetings that gather researchers, academics, students, and professionals to showcase the latest research on marine biology in the region applying cutting-edge technologies, brainstorm ideas, and forge new connections.

The 3rd West Pacific Marine Biology Symposium will be held on 25-28 November 2025 in Brisbane, Australia, jointly organised by The University of Queensland and CNRS Biologie.
